Water Filter Demonstration in Charlotte, NC -  Over four weekends at SouthPark Mall in Charlotte we sold candles from Southern Candle Company back in Wilkesboro and even got some people to sport our O2A t-shirts.  Kristin and Jesse did facepainting and you can see there station on the left- if you squint.  The biggest draw though was the solar-powered water filter we had running through a fish tank.  It looked kind-of like a bomb so people slowed down to check it out and ask questions.  The design is real simple and we hope to duplicate if we just get a tech-savvy volunteer.

Gift-Wrapping Kiosk in Tukwila, Wa –  Over the holiday weekends this past December, O2A hosted 6 tables at South Center Mall in Tukwila, WA.  It was our biggest and most successful fundraiser yet and got us to our 2010 goal of $20,000.  The goal wasn’t arbitrary.  We had a Full $20,000 match and we made it!

Bumbershoot Music Festival, Seattle, WA – We held an information booth at the Northwest’s largest music festival this summer, with over 200,000 people attending it was a great way to get our name and information out there, plus the free music!

Cooking for a Cause in April -  Donors joined us for an O2A benefit which involved a Cooking Class with Wine Pairings from Seattle Chef Karen Binkhorst.   Thriftway and QFC made donations toward the food costs and Dish it Up Magnolia donated there cooking class kitchen space!

Cici’s Pizza in Boone, NC –  A popular pizza joint near ASU also held a fundraiser this November.   The owners gave 10% of their proceeds to O2A and gave us the space to sell our t-shirts.

ASU Hosts Angels for Orphans – Appalachian State students ran a booth selling $1 Angel ornaments to raise funds this November.  The ornaments were cheap, which is a plus for college students, and they also help O2A get more exposure around the Founder’s old campus.
